I like stuff!

My friend Brianne got me interested in the idea of making a wishlist. :) It's sort of a barter system -- I will trade you artwork for the items listed here. Some people find this more fun than sending money for a commission, and it allows me to get stuff I want while saving my actual cash income for stuff I need. Plus it bypasses the hassle of banks and monetary transactions and etc.
It's also handy reference material for my friends and family when birthdays or Christmas roll around and they're in "AUGH RENEE IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SHOP FOR" mode. I'm really not! And this list proves I'm low-maintenance, dammit.

In many ways, this works like a commission, except it's not. Some things you should be clear on before asking for a wishlist trade:

1- Commissions remain my priority work. I will have to take care of those commitments before I tackle your wishlist trade, and a lot depends on how many people got there before you. However, I have limited the number of commissions I take on these days and am more likely to open up for wishlist trades instead, now that I have an outside job that pays the bills.

2- I have checked the prices for my wishlist items, often from several different sources, and what I offer in return artwork-wise is non-negotiable. The artwork I have listed -- in terms of what I am willing to draw for you -- is what I feel a particular wishlist item is worth as to my time and effort.

3- I realize that many of the items on my wishlist may have shipping charges added onto them if you order them online -- and even if you get them at an actual store in your area, you'd have to pay shipping at the post office to send them to me anyway. To compensate you for this, I'd be happy to mail you the original of your finished drawing free of charge. I recommend doing your shopping online because it's easier for you to have the item mailed directly to me instead of receiving it at your own home and then sending it to me. It's also worth mentioning that ordering online means the item is already packaged for you so there's less likelihood of the goods being damaged. But bear in mind that I live in Canada, in case a certain store doesn't ship here.

4- If you buy the item at a local store and mail it to me via your post office, REMEMBER TO MARK THE PACKAGE AS A GIFT ON THE CUSTOMS STICKER! Otherwise I get nailed with a hefty C.O.D. charge when it arrives because the postal system assumes it's business-related and they charge companies for that.

5- All items must be NEW, and in most cases, sealed in their original wrapping. I'm not interested in working for used products.

6- As with any regular commission, I will not begin work on your wishlist trade until I receive the item. It's payment-up-front or no deal.

7- If I am to draw a character of yours or any character I am not familiar with, please provide me with as much reference material as you can. Visual reference is best, but failing that, a detailed description will suffice.

8- I have provided links to online stores for most items listed (just click on the underlined item) -- you don't necessarily have to buy the item from that particular store, but it is the price from THAT store upon which I am basing the value of the artwork I am willing to offer in return. Usually these are the best prices I could find, but if you can do better, by all means, go ahead. The links I provided are also meant to show you exactly what the item is supposed to look like and precisely which version of the product I want.

9- The wishlist is pretty much in order of preference. The most desired items are at the top.

10- Once I have received a wishlist item from someone, I remove it from the list.

Got all that? Spiffy! E-mail me here to place a wishlist order. :)

PLEASE NOTE!
At the moment, I am not currently taking on any more wishlist trades. This is a temporary hiatus while I take care of some overdue commission work. I will post here when I can tackle fresh wishlist trades again, but for now, please, do not ask me about any. It wouldn't be fair to have your goods in my hands and then make you wait forever to get your artwork while I'm busy with other things. :(

AND

COMMISSIONS FROM SOME OF MY FAVORITE ARTISTS!
This involves you contacting/hiring/paying the artist in question to draw one or more of my characters.
If this is meant as a surprise gift, keeping me completely in the dark is fine!
But if it's for a trade, I'd like to speak to the artist myself at some point
to explain exactly what sort of commission I would want.

Melissa Miller (anything!)
Rey Arzeno (human characters)
Kesame(animal/anthro characters)
Nimrais (anthro characters)
Optical X Arsenal (anthro characters)
Emily Rigelsky (Fire-Eyes) (sculpture of animal characters)
Tiina Purin (MirrorEyes) (anthro/animal characters)
Hillary Luetkemeyer (Hibbary) (anthro characters)
Brianne Goetz (anything!)
Victoria Woods (Uranium-Husky) (anthro/animal characters)
Ruth Collins (human characters)
Lisa Ommert (Sepp) (anthro/animal characters)
Katie Hofgard (animal/anthro characters)
ESDA (animal/anthro characters)
FooRay (human characters)
Kim Buck (animal/anthro characters)
Liz Stanford (animal/anthro characters)

The art you get from me in exchange for hiring these artists depends entirely on
how much you're willing to spend and how much they charge.
Some negotiation will be in order! :)

Looking to get me a gift for some occasion, but not necessarily
anything that's on the list? Here are some other
goodies that are always guaranteed to delight me!

* Arm warmers! Like socks for the arms. I love these
and they're hard to find in my area.

* Chocolate. No chocolate is ever turned away in this house.

* Fun socks of any kind, particularly knee-highs.

* Panties! I'm serious. Size small to medium. Panties are fun.

* Snazzy accessories like necklaces, chokers, bracelets, rings, etc. I don't
mean high-caliber jewellery like diamonds or anything! I mean
trinket jewellery. Like under $20.

* Notebooks. I write constantly.

* Candles of any kind. Preferably if they smell like things!

* Anything to do with Rammstein, Metallica,
Predator, felines, or Dobermans.

* Gift art or fan art! I cherish this stuff forever.
