Commissioned art for Paul Bos ("my brother-in-law!"), Barrett's hunting buddy. It's the two of them in the woods, giggling and "feeding the small animals" (i.e. feedin' 'em lead) and just generally being a pair of crazy gun-totin' rednecks. That's Paul with the camera, and Barrett with the rifle. But make no mistake -- they both have rifles, and lots of ammo.Fun fact! The term "stundness" is a local rural word I learned courtesy of Barrett, along with other colorful expressions like "door yard" (i.e. driveway) and "gorbie guts" (i.e. beer belly). To be "stund" (side note -- "stunned" is actually the incorrect spelling in this case!) means to be acting like a jackass. For example, "Can you draw me and Paul bein' stund out in the woods?" or, "Yeah, that was right stund.""Stundness", therefore, is the quality (if one can call it that) of being "stund".Your hillbilly vocabulary lesson for the day!Bic pen on sketch paper.
