Play nice and I won't bite.

* First and foremost, all artwork on this site (unless otherwise stated) is copyrighted to me, Renée Atkinson, 2000-2008. This applies to ALL of my artwork, not just the images with the copyright notice on them. Once an image or a character is committed to paper, it becomes the intellectual property of the creator, copyright symbol or not. In short, I own all rights to my images. It also means you are not to tamper with them in any way.

NOT COOL:
- Altering the image. (Coloring, cropping, editing, resizing, etc.)
- Reposting the image elsewhere on the internet.
- Copying the image. By this I mean redrawing my image and trying
to make the new, redrawn image "yours". This not only applies
to the entire image, but even just parts of it -- a position, a face, etc.
- Claiming any of my images or my characters as your own.
- Selling the image.

* Images digitally colored by other people remain copyrighted to me.

* I am a very reclusive person. I like reading e-mail, but answering it is a chore for me because I'm terribly busy these days between college, work, and home life with my boyfriend and the kids (okay, the cats). Don't get me wrong -- I love my fans, and I appreciate everyone who takes the time to write to me. But I must admit, it takes me weeks at a time to muster the energy to even check my e-mail!

* This doesn't mean I don't enjoy hearing from you or that I won't answer your questions. I read all my e-mail, but I have to pick and choose which ones need the most immediate replies. If you just want to drop me a line to say hi or to comment on my artwork or website, I can't guarantee a response. Sometimes I answer, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I answer months after you've sent the message! I apologize in advance for some of my horrifyingly late replies.

* Please note that my e-mail account is constantly flooded with massive amounts of spam. I sign in to 800 messages, and all but, say, one or two of them are SPAM. This drives me nuts. It would be a huge help to me personally if your subject line could include something that I will recognize as non-spam -- like my name... Renée, or Ren. That way I'll be less likely to accidentally delete your message in the process of clearing away all the crap.

* Please don't e-mail me asking about art trades, wishlist trades, or commissions when my business status is listed as "closed". I really mean this in the nicest way possible. I'm very thankful and flattered that you would like to hire me, but closed means closed. I can't take on any new projects at that time.

Be sure to read the F.A.Q. too! I will no longer be replying to e-mails which address questions already listed there.
