Deep Six is the collective brainchild of:
Robert "Psipher" Geiger
Trisha "Del" Oliver
Angela "Finch" Peak
Melissa "Anathema" Miller
John "Khame" St. Germain
And myself, Renée "Telly" Atkinson

I'll save myself the repetition and just forward you the link to the official Deep Six website for all the pertinent information. Clicky!

The following are the characters I created for the Deep Six concept:

The original idea behind Deep Six was for us (the six of us, listed above) to have some fun and create comic characters that were representative of ourselves. From there it just took on a life of its own. Telly is the "Deep Six Ren", if you will, and was designed to look like me in most respects. While our personalities differ greatly in some ways, they're also rather similar in others.

FULL NAME: Jamie Telluride (pronounced TELL-yer-ride). "Telly" is a long-standing nickname that doubles as her team code-name. She also goes by Jamie or James in conversation.

AGE: 27

HEIGHT: 5'8"

WEIGHT: 125 lbs.

HAIR: Light brown, dyed rich purple at the bottom. Wavy. A little past shoulder-length.

EYES: Blue.

PIERCINGS: One in her bellybutton and one through her left brow.

STYLE: Rather rough around the edges. Jamie is somewhat of an infamous ex-con in her hometown of Chicago, Illinois, and tends to present herself in a gruff and "macho" manner in order to keep people at a distance and camouflage vulnerability. Her typical ensemble is a pair of dark blue pants with a solid red stripe down each side (her "civil war pants", as they're also known), thick-soled black steel-toe boots, heavy black belt with wallet chain, some sort of t-shirt or tank top, and occasionally a long, black, hooded coat in the wintertime. Various accessories include her watch, spiked wristband, multitude of rings, choker with silver loop pendant, her gun holsters, purple-tinted glasses, and -- of course -- the ever-present lollipop. She is rarely seen without some type of candy in her mouth or in her hands. Overall, Jamie comes across as a bit of a tough mercenary-type and seems rather unfeminine at a first glance. She carries herself as though she is constantly irritated over something.

PERSONALITY: As some of her team members could attest to, Jamie is what one might call "an acquired taste". She is extremely quiet, moody, antisocial, and can be outright unpleasant at times. Most people tend to see her as a cold, uncaring, and troubled individual, but this is not actually true. She puts up defensive barriers to protect herself from being hurt, but deep down, she is very loving, kind, playful, funny, intelligent, down-to-earth, and fiercely loyal. She believes herself to be a terrible mother, but in reality, she revolves her entire way of life around the protection of her daughter and anyone else deserving of said protection. She considers herself a social faliure, yet she is fighting the war on crimes against humanity. Jamie has lived a hard life, but strives to remain a good person in spite of everything.

Once you create a character, inevitably you have to create their "entourage" and come up with people for them to interact with. The two key figures in Telly's backstory are her former husband, Dan Palmer, and their daughter, Justice Telluride. I won't give away the whole plot, but the gist is that Dan was a very bad bad man and Jamie decided to teach him a lesson with 24 bullets, for which, understandably, she was sent to prison. Justice is currently in the custody of Jamie's parents, but may be something much more than the timid 6-year-old she appears to be.
