The Contego Girls

The Contego is a concept created by my friend Katherine Bongard, wherein she, our mutual friend Melissa Miller, and myself are represented in the story by the three main characters – Chris, Max, and Zan, respectively.

A lot of the plot is still under wraps right now while we work out details, but it has to do with genetically-altered superhumans in the future. Chris, Max and Zan are all results of this scientific tampering, developed for a program called The Contego. The story follows them as they deal with life "on the outside" after their escape.

My Contego characters, for the moment, include only Zan and her girlfriend (as in significant other), Sata. Sata is not part of the Contego "project"; she is a normal human being who knows nothing of Zan's true heritage. They do not live together and are supposed to only have been dating for a few months in the "present time".

FULL NAME: Alexandra Madison Kavanagh (pronounced KAV-ah-naw).

AGE: 24

HEIGHT: 5'8"

WEIGHT: 125 lbs.

HAIR: Auburn, long (past her breasts when let down), and slightly wavy, tied into high pigtails. She dyes the front part of her hair a pale peachy-blond , divides it down the middle, and wears those two streaks in a ponytail that passes underneath each pigtail and ties at the back of her head.

EYES: Dark forest green.

PIERCINGS: One big loop through each earlobe, one navel piercing, and one ring or barbell through her left eyebrow.

TATTOOS: None, apart from the Contego serial number kept hidden on her inner wrist.

STYLE: Zan is a spunky, cheerful person and enjoys wearing bright colors and lots of accessories. She is typically seen in low-rise pants that are much too big for her and tie with a cinch cord at the waist, arm warmers of all sorts, small/cute tops, thick-soled sandals (weather permitting), and a plethora of items such as necklaces, rings, bracelets, scarves, and unecessary belts. Her style has been referred to as "athletic techno gypsy".

PERSONALITY: Generally, Zan is a pleasant, friendly person with a good-natured sense of humor. She is extremely intelligent but does not carry herself with any type of superior attitude. She loves life, her "sisters" Chris and Max, her many cats, and simple pleasures that many people take for granted, such as having a good laugh or snacking on chocolate cherries. She is exuberant, energetic, and playful. She can be slightly awkward and shy among strangers, but overall, comes across as rather likable and warm.

REFERENCE IMAGES:

FULL NAME: Mai Sata (pronounced MY SAH-tah.) As a Vietnamese-American, her family name of Mai is always listed first, but Sata is her actual given name.

AGE: 26

HEIGHT: 5'4"

WEIGHT: 110 lbs.

HAIR: Natually black, though the entire front and a narrow strip up top are dyed a dark, rich, midnight blue. The back and sides of her head (the naturally black parts) are shaved to a very short fuzz, while her blue bangs are long, straight, silky, and hang over her eyes. Her bangs extend to a greater length on either side, framing her face with blue. These longer strands are worn in tight braids, one hanging in front of each ear, with a silver metal loop secured into each braid. Along the (top) middle of her head, starting at the crown, is a short, bristly "trail", slightly longer than the rest of her short hair, teased to spike upwards like a mini-mohawk.

EYES: Dark hazel.

PIERCINGS: Criss-crossing industrial piercings (in the shape of an X) in each ear, one monroe on each side of her mouth, one lip ring through each side of her bottom lip, and a medusa (centered in the middle, between both monroes).

TATTOOS: A curvy, detailed, plant-like design on her left arm, from her shoulder down to a few inches past her elbow.

STYLE: Sata enjoys bright and dark colors alike, or preferably a mix of the two. She is most often seen in cute, girly tops, thick-soled shoes or boots to make her appear taller, skirts, and medium-length coats. She wears a ton of half-punkish, half-feminine accessories all over her arms, around her neck, on her fingers and toes, and around her waist. Her overall look is very "busy", yet oddly stylish.

PERSONALITY: Sata is a fine counter-balance for Zan's somewhat more introverted personality. She is bold, energetic, chatty, very open, and wild. She will talk to anyone about anything, has a great sense of humor, is insatiably curious, asks barrages of questions during conversation, and has a true love of life. She's great fun to be around and has a compassionate, caring spirit that compels her to want to defend the weak everywhere from the world at large. She may appear rather serene in her body language and facial expressions, but make no mistake, she's a pistol.
